We made the Quiz and we watched some videos about schooling in the world, here we have the link and a brief summary of that videos:

SUMMARY:

The video has 7 parts but in the class we just saw three of them. These videos show us how English-speakers countries such as United Kingdom or USA had done in schools with native people. We can see that they do positive thing like give education to everybody but there are other negative aspects as try to change foreign people’s traditions. An example of this we can find at the beginning of the video, a native woman says that according to the teachings of the Buddha they raised their children but nowadays children go to the school to learn the same basic thing. She beliefs that that kind of values should be respected. We have to teach that basic thing like maths but in every place there are different point of view, different believes and different cultures and traditions and we must respect that things and teach without trying to change it because all us can we learn a lot of things from another culture of country.

Nowadays with the globalization we are losing those special things because we go out to another country and we try to do and to eat just things that we know that we like instead of try to do new things.

After that we can see that as almost every child in the world, when you ask them what they want to be when the grow up they want to have an important job such as doctor and earn a lot of Money. Here we can appreciate that even they are native, foreign, gipsy or black children they want for their future the same as other children.

The videos try to show that education is essential. But it’s not. We need to communicate, to be independient, to grow as a person because it gives us knowledge and information about us, about our environment and about general and particular thing in the world and life. Like for us is very normal to have education we don’t see as a priviliage but with videos like this we can see the reality such us in some places of the world too many children just know to take care the land or the animals. But they are also important, school is important but you can live without it.

Another point is that in many places in the world children are exploit or they have drugs or other kind or problems and because of this among other thing nowadays in countries as USA exist children poverty. But this happens around the world and because of this, the rich person becomes richer and the poor one, more poor.
